Our Story
Sierra Pacifica was founded by a group of eco investors, sharing the joy of creating eco and social value and conserving local wildlife and flora.
We will support sustainable land management and habitat restoration initiatives. The goal is to restore the property into a private protected area with an ecosystem that can support the diverse plant and animal species and to offer eco stays to visitors. The farm will become self sufficient in producing enough food to support the household, part of the ecosystem, with the excess being given to the community around. Part of the farm is a tropical rain forest with water streams, the area is being reforested with indigenous fruit trees, and a variety of trees from the region, to sustain the forests’ birds, butterflies, monkeys, etc. |
Our aim is to plant about 'number' trees in July 2022 (indigenous fruit tree species to replicate the plant diversity found in the forest of this region.) Fruit trees planted this season will start bearing fruit in 3..5 years from now. This gives us the opportunity to develop the infrastructure.
There are many different species of animals and insects that are currently living within Sierra Pacificas’ farms, that can easily be seen today such as: Spider Monkeys, Howler Monkeys, Capuchin Monkeys, Sloths, White Tailed Deer, Agoutis, Lowland Pacas, Boa Constrictors, wild boar, opossums, Scarlet Macaws, Green Parrots, Parakeets, Hawks, Eagles and Vultures. |
